Are these things still in production? I don't really know what's going on with Palm since the acquisition by HP. I think I assumed they'd just, kinda, gone.

these are the new models, the Palm Pre and Palm Pixi were last years models, the Plus indicates new model.

Shame about the tacky plastic hardware ! if they made these a little more modern looking it would make a world of difference to their credibility IMO

At CES 2010 the Pixi Plus was announced. The differences are the inclusion of WiFi, the ability to act, like the Palm Pre Plus, as a 3G Mobile Hotspot (sometimes known as MiFi), and new backcovers, all of which are TouchStone compatible.

A new version of the smartphone was announced at CES 2010. Differences include the renaming of the device to Palm Pre Plus, the removal of the center button, 16 GB storage memory (8 GB on the original Pre), doubling the RAM from 256 MB to 512MB, and the back cover is now already Touchstone compatible.

These Palm handsets still do absolutely nothing for me. They are just so damn ... ugly! I want my tech to at least look ... nice.

iPhone 4 - gorgeous to behold
Nexus One - superbly minimalist, a bit of a man's phone
Dell Streak - awesomely black, and huge
3 MiFi - eye candy, its beautiful
iPad - unputdownably attractive
Samsung NC10 Netbook - shiny shiny, glossy glossy

... and so on :)
