It was only a couple days ago that we saw pictures of an alleged Galaxy S2, and now we have a baby-sized one that’s supposed to be its little brother.
Supposedly this guy has a 3.5″ 320×480 screen (probably Super AMOLED, to maintain the Galaxy style), runs Froyo 2.2, and has a 5MP camera on the back. Processor is listed as Qualcomm’s budget MSM7227. Model number is S5830, and it’s quad-band with WCDMA support.
The rectangular home button and general layout remind me of a sort of chubby, compact version of the reference Galaxy S. More pictures at Samfirmware and Tenaa. Supposedly it’ll be shown off at MWC; we’ll be there, so don’t you worry. MobileCrunch

Hmm, not sure what to think?

Either a great budget Android or one for the bargain bin - hard to tell at this point. If it keeps the Galaxy brand then one would hope Samsung aren't going to tarnish the headway they've made with that by releasing a bad handset.

I'm not convinced thats real, even for Samsung the build quality looks outrageously cheap. Also why release a horrendously poor spec'd device with almost the same name as your flagship model? Makes no sense.

To me it actually looks like the iPhone, but just with the Samsung logo on it.. doesn't it?

Isn't that the Samsung iPod Touch killer (Yawn !) that was announced a month or so ago ?

You mean the Galaxy Player? Not sure... thought they showed that at CES couple of weeks ago.

I'm hearing the screen is a 320x480 HVGA TFT, WTF is that? Seriously my watch has a better screen than that. I'm guessing from the 800Mhz CPU that this thing isn't going to be the £80 you might expect for a phone with a screen that bad. :D
