According to a number of press reports Samsung will provide an Android Upgrade (2.3 Gingerbread) for the Galaxy S handset in March.
Far from ceasing production it has been reported that the Galaxy S will remain a current model and will be reduced in price after it's successor (Galaxy S2) hits the shelves in April.
