The Mrs and my smartphones (BB 9800 Torch and iPhone 4 32GB) are both covered under her Lloyds Premium bank account. It has a number of bonuses, one of which is "free" smartphone insurance for up to two devices on a full replacement basis. Also stuff like travel insurance is included.
