Huawei E586 Mifi device using BT SIM!

Hi all,

Newbie here needing help!!!

I've just purchased a Huawei E586 mifi device - I have a BT SIM (which uses the Vodaphone network) card that I use in a dongle from work.

I've tried using the SIM card in the mifi device, I'm getting a 3G signal but no internet connection. I've tried changing the APN settings but still no luck.....any ideas anyone?

This is a generic Huawei device, unbranded and unlocked? What settings have you configured it to use for the BT SIM?

I'm trying to do the exactly same thing (- BT SIM for Vodafone (working with other mobile device OK)) with an unlocked huawei e586 and also have 3g signal & wireless conection but no internet connection. Before I started changing anything I was wondering if there is a simple checklist or defaults that I should check out specific to the e586 and Vodafone network (I've tried searchng both Vodafone and Huawei websites but not struck gold yet) - I came across ths posting while googling for such a thing! Any help much appreciated...

Username: bt
Password: bt
