3 has picked up a new version of Sony Ericsson’s slimline 3G device, the K608. It could be 3’s most desirable handset yet. The device is a later model than the similar K600i, which is currently being sold by Vodafone

still no news on release date, big shame about expandable memory as well

I don't think the lack of expandable memory *is* a shame though - for the mass market this phone could work wonders. The more people move to 3G, the better our coverage and services are going to get

The phone is still very good despite the expanable memory
