Default Is O2 network down?

I'm on 3, but I notice that I have no signal when in 2.5g mode. A couple of other people here in the office are on O2 and have no signal either.
Is this a local thing or is anyone else affected?

It's back up again now, but it was down at least 30 mins.

Curious... O2's network is rather known to be flakey, only usually when they do insane promotions like free texting or calling though. Thanks for posting about it.

My 02 has been fine in Scotland. Perhaps the HLR relating to 3's users was temporarily down. No sign of any outage for 02 customers elsewhere.

gorilla mentions that the problem affected O2 users also. Could have been localised - transmitter gone down or something along those lines.

We'll probably never know what happened. It was definately an O2 problem as I only found out when O2 users in my office complained about not having a signal. It was maybe something to do with the weather. It's been very windy today - maybe a mast fell over?
