I have a Sony Ericsson Z1010 that is unlocked and on vodafone's GSM network at the moment.
What I'd prefer is a 3G Windows Mobile Pocket PC with Integrated Phone Capabilities or a 3G Windows Mobile Smartphone... Seeing as neither of the above currently exists (although HTC have ANNOUNCED a 3G Pocket PC with Integrated Phone Capabilities!), I'll probably upgrade to Sony Ericsson Z800i as it is the V3 of 3G phones!

In case you're wondering why I'm using a GSM SIM in a 3G phone, it's because we (Australia) currently only have one publically-available 3G network ("3") and to put it nicely, they suck!
3 Won't allow me to use "My Friends," online Java applications (eg. Cannons: Tournament, EmailViewer and WebViewer) and certain other functions, due to the fact that you are locked into their "on3" mobile Internet (WAP) site!

Not only does vodafone allow me to use all of these online features, but my 3-branded Z1010 is strangely fully "vodafone live!" compatible!
Besides, when vodafone eventually launch their 3G network, I won't NEED to upgrade due to the fact that vodafone will be operating a WCDMA network, the same as 3 Australia (of course, I WILL upgrade if I have the cash!)...

Looks like 3 are the same over there as over here and its a shame that other networks are not 3G yet. It will happen soon and you will see the light
