Yes, that is all very well. But given this country's tendency to procrastination it will be 2020 before the first LTE rolls out. The mobile operators have too often shown themselves not to be trusted to self-regulate or act on the public or nation's behalf. Mobile communications have become the very lifeblood of much of the world. We cannot afford nor allow the mobile network operators to hold the UK to ransom. They must be regulated into behaving themselves and just get on with deploying LTE into the UK, kicking and screaming all the way if that is what it takes.
Rarely do I favour regulation - but in the case of the mobile network operators I make a distinct exception.
