    Oh praise the lord. This needs to happen, it's a thoroughly ridiculous situation at present. How it works behind the scenes is another matter, but to the customer - yes yes yes.

    If I wasn't clear above, I concur. The simplified proposal sounds good.

    Hopefully the above link works better. I agree 0800 numbers should be free as far as i know the only network thats does this is giffgaff. Its good to see other numbers are also being looked at, two that bugs me are 0845 and the mian bug of my life is 0844 which most GP surgeries are on in Northern Ireland, I think it costs me about 35 PPM just to phone mine.

    I like to see how it all works out in the end as it needs to be made more clearer for mobile users and much clearer for older ones who tend to use only mobile phones for contact

    About time too. These have been free on Giffgaff for a while. Good call Ofcom.
