Default Fibre to the Not Spot

My kiss-and-tell on a 16-month stint without broadband Internet access, and how I hope to finally overcome it.

Warning: Contains scary figures, of the numerical kind.

    Default That Tablet Question

More pondering over the somewhat eternal dilemma of tablets:

    https://talk3g.co.uk/entry.php?13...ablet-Question

Having seen the form factors on offer by other manufacturers to date, it'll likely come down to Apple and the second iPad to show us whether tablets have life in them yet.

Default What's new but 11 months old?

Opinion/discussion just posted, exploring the iPhone 4's position in the current, crowded smartphone market, and why Apple have deviated from their established annual release schedule.

Default iMessage vs SMS. Did the mobile operators just get tagged?

WWDC 2011 was a massive event in mobile. Terminals just leaped ahead. Operator revenues, on the other hand, may have just jumped off a cliff...

    Default Free to roam

Is there a competitive environment for mobile coverage in the UK?

Should we be allowed to roam onto competitor mobile networks when our own one comes up short?

Default Why on Earth would I want a Nokia Lumia 800?

The wait begins for my first return to the scary world of 'other' mobile phones since the Google Nexus One.

Default LTE: A rollout like we've never seen before

The mobile landscape in the UK is changing. But unlike the launch of 3G services in 2003, this time the playing field looks very different.

Default O2 goes the extra 3G900 mile

I get excited about the prospect of having good signal and usable data. It'll all end in tears.

    Default Living the 3G900 dream

The concept of 3G at 900MHz goes from pipe dream to reality as I put O2's claims to the test in and around Canterbury.

My Facebook and Twitter are really going to suffer. Well, my friends and followers are, anyway
