Anyone with that kind of profile should not be purchasing a tablet device of any kind. They would be wasting their money no matter what tablet device they bought.

By contrast, in my house there are three iPads and each gets daily use [for widely different purposes] without fail, seven days a week, just about 365 days of the year. Yes, of course we could do without them. However we made a conscious choice in buying these, at different times.

The thing is, everyone I know that has an iPad makes very similarly frequent and varied use of them.

But don't let me do all the talking. The sales figures speak volumes about how many people and corporates simply "get it". We are yet to see any other tablet paradigm make such an impression.

I'm not convinced that the Kindle Fire is anything more than an Amazon POS terminal in your home.
